We are thrilled to have been asked to explain laser tattoo removal to the viewers of CBS Minnesota tonight! Our very own certified laser technician Joseph Downing explains how the laser breaks up particles of ink in the skin.
Watch the video on CBS!
Joseph compares tattoo ink to a boulder; these large particles of tattoo ink are too unwieldy for the cells in the skin to remove. The laser is like a sledge-hammer that breaks them up into smaller particles allowing these cells a better chance to eliminate them.
One of Joseph’s stranger tattoos? A large chest piece of Ronald McDonald with an open shirt and the caption “With Arms Wide Open”. It’s never a dull moment in tattoo-land!
